Ways to get involved:

- Contact your US Senators and your US Representative and ask them to encourage the CDC to make the  investigation of Morgellons disease a priority. Ask your friends and relatives to also write.  Your representatives' contact information can be found at:   www.senate.gov or www.house.gov. *

-  Contact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and ask them to expedite their investigation of Morgellons disease.  (HHS oversees the actions of the CDC.)  Ask your friends and relatives to also write. Carbon copy your US senators and congressperson on these letters.

-  Contact your state health department and educate them about Morgellons Disease.  Ask them to establish a state contact person for physicians and sufferers to call.

* The most effective way to make your voice heard by senators and congresspersons is to send your letters via FAX directly to their Washington DC office. Please be sure to sign your letters. It is even more effective if you follow up your letter with a phone call to their DC office.  Ask to speak to the Health Legislative Aide.

You don't need to spend a dime on a call to D.C..  Here is a toll free number for the U.S. Congress switchboard: 1-800-828-0498...all you have to do is ask for your Senator or Representative and they will connect you.
